Happy 90th Birthday!

SSMN Celebrate Sister Mary Fulbright at OLV!

Happy 90th Birthday!

On Feb. 15th, we welcomed Sr. Mary Fulbright to the "Nonagenarian Club." A number of family members and friends came from Waco, Dallas, and the surrounding area to surprise her with a great celebration. Among the family were her sister-in-law Anna (wife of Sister's brother John, who died recently), their sons John and Tom, her niece Suzie, and several other nieces and nephews. There was much talk and laughter, which culminated with a beautiful and delicious birthday cake. One of Sister's favorite gifts is an "Aggie" banner which is now on display outside the window to her room.

God Bless you and Thank you.

SSMN Celebrates: Sr. Camella's Birthday!

January 6, 2020

Happy Birthday Sr. Camella!

On Jan. 3, the community celebrated Sr. Camella's birthday. Sr. Rosemary was a wonderful MC and the cake was beautiful with a "magic candle" that opens into a flower shape. She received a lovely calendar with beautiful sayings for each day of the year. Have a blessed year and many more birthdays, dear Sister!

May you have a great year with many blessings.

Thank you for all you do and have done for SSMN.

God bless you!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2020

January 1, 2020

Happy New Year!

Dear Sisters and Friends,

My very best wishes for a Blessed New Year. I thought that you would like to see the Christmas tree in Sundance Square here in Fort Worth. A friend of Doug took the picture. Sr. Rosemary was very generous with her time and took some groups at different times to see the tree and lights in various parts of the city. At Cook’s Children’s Hospital, there was a beautiful display of some of the Winnie the Pooh characters. You may be able to “Google it.”

Today we had a very nice end-of-the-year retreat. This is the closing event of our 200th anniversary year. May the Lord and His Blessed Mother watch over and guide our Sisters for, we hope, the next 200 years.

God bless each of you.

With love and prayers, SSMN

The Sisters at OLV Center have had many friends come to visit recently.

teachers) came to sing beautiful Christmas songs for us.

Rodriguez, Vicar for Women Religious for the Diocese,
came with Josie and Peter Castillo and other members of
her staff, and brought a delicious tamale supper in honor of
our 200th anniversary as a religious community.

10. Sr. Francesca welcomes the students from OLV Elementary
School who came to sing Christmas carols and visit with the
Sisters.

On Dec. 13 all of the students took part in a beautiful pageant depicting St. Francis and his first followers preparing the first Christmas Nativity scene.

Sr, Patricia Ridgley is always at work.

Before Uber:

During the late 70s when Sr. Patricia Ridgley was working on the pastoral staff of Holy Cross Parish,
she often drove the parish van to Bishop College with some of the students from Holy Cross who were
taking classes there.

For 200 years SSMN still at work!
