Festival of Tables sponsored by the Women's Group at Good Shepherd Parish in Colleyville

On Feb. 7, some of our Sisters attended the Festival of Tables sponsored by the Women's Group at Good Shepherd Parish in Colleyville.

This is an annual event when groups of ladies decorate round tables according to different themes and compete for little prizes in three categories. This year's categories were: "Over the Top," "Fun," and "Elegant." Those who attend walk around and choose which table they think is best in each category. Then they sit down and socialize during the delicious meal. The Sisters were invited to sit at different tables and introduce themselves to the various members of the group. Since many of the ladies were raised "up north," they had attended
Catholic schools in grade or high school and were happy to meet the Sisters of St. Mary and exchange stories about their growing-up days.

The winning table for "Over the Top" used the theme "The Chisholm Trail" and had decorations reminiscent of ranches, horses, etc.

There was even an old-fashioned spotted enamel coffee pot on the table. One of the ladies actually trains horses.

The Sisters look forward to attending this annual event and admiring the creativity of this wonderful group. During the year the women participate in many charitable activities, so this evening is one where they get together and have fun together. There were over 200 women who attended this year.
