Christmas Activities at OLV, December 2019

The Sisters at OLV Center have had many friends come to visit recently.

1. Frank and Carlotta Garcia dress up each year as Santa and his
elf. Sr. Francesca taught Carlotta in grade school.

2. The Euterpians (a singing group composed mostly of music
teachers) came to sing beautiful Christmas songs for us.

3--6. On Dec. 14, members of the OLV Auxiliary came for the
annual "Trim the Tree" activities and chili luncheon.

7--9. On Dec. 12, Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Sr. Diana
Rodriguez, Vicar for Women Religious for the Diocese,
came with Josie and Peter Castillo and other members of
her staff, and brought a delicious tamale supper in honor of
our 200th anniversary as a religious community.

10. Sr. Francesca welcomes the students from OLV Elementary
School who came to sing Christmas carols and visit with the
Sisters.

On Dec. 13 all of the students took part in a beautiful pageant depicting St. Francis and his first followers preparing the first Christmas Nativity scene.
